In English, composing sentence for writing and speaking absolutely needs a kind of rule. This rule can be separated into many groups. All of them is important, but the most used rule in daily activity is;
1. Simple Present Tense
This tense used in daily activity to state time (right now, everyday, everytime, or present time)
Example :
+the boy go to school everyday
-the boy do not go to school everyday
In the sentence, "the boy" work as Subject that making activity "go / do not go" to the "school" in "everyday".
Another e.g
+some people work as labour in metal smelter everyday
-some people do not work as labour in metal smelter everyday
2. Simple Past Tense
This tense used in daily activity to state the past (yesterday, lastmonth, two hours ago, long time ago).
Example :
+rida cooked a fried chicken two hours ago
-rida didn't cooked a fried chicken two hours ago
In the sentence, "rida" work as Subject that cook (cooked/V2 to show past) a "chicken" a day before today (yesterday).
Another e.g
+hatta went to England in order to greet queen Elizabeth two months ago.
-hatta didn't went to England in order to greet queen Elizabeth two months ago.
So, now you understand about positive and negative sentence. How about introgative?
Introgative sentence, hmmm... Lets check the example:
(?) do you love me?
(?) did you love me?
Look at these question, the meaning was clear. So look carefully on the first word "do/did" which both of them have different role.
"Do" used for present, and "Did" used for past. Same with "am/is/are" for Present and "was/were" for Past.
